Starfire iTC Service is Going Away
Update 12/17/2020
With additions to the satellite constellations utilized in the John Deere StarFire Network, a mandatory receiver software update has been released by John Deere. To continue operation on SF1, SF2, SF3, or RTK, the software on all SF3000 and SF6000 receivers must be updated by February 1, 2021. Contact your local BTI dealer for more info!
*iTC receivers will no longer be active after February 1, 2021.*
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We would like to inform you of some changes that are on the horizon for John Deere iTC receivers. John Deere iTC and older GPS receivers will no longer work with SF1 or SF2 signal as of January 1, 2021. This is not an action caused by John Deere Company but rather a result of the government updating satellites that John Deere utilizes for its signal. These newer satellites will be operating at a different frequency which the iTC receiver will not be able to recognize after January 1, 2021 when the change occurs. If you are currently using a John Deere 3000 or 6000 receiver they will not be affected by this frequency change. If you have a John Deere iTC receiver, we encourage you to contact one of six BTI locations and visit with our IS Consultant about options that are available to you. We wish to help you avoid any interruptions in your GPS signal. We look forward to visiting with you and providing you with the same high-quality John Deere receivers that you have utilized in your operation for many years!
