The heavy-duty, wrap-around parallel linkage is the product of more than three decades of high horsepower row crop tillage experience and provides precision depth control in the roughest of terrain. Rotary moldboards mounted on high-strength steel shanks offer a smooth and consistent pull to create perfectly shaped beds. The 8385 is available in 6- to 18-row configurations with 30" to 40" spacing to adapt to a wide variety of applications.

• Unlike mounting systems that transfer draft force solely through U-bolts that can stretch, distort and break, Orthman’s heavy-duty force-through-mount design and wedge locking system join steel to steel to stand up to the rigors of bedding.

• Precision seedbeds start with Othman’s time-tested row unit foundation. The heavy-duty parallel linkage row unit operates independently of the toolbar, giving you consistent depth control with up to 8 inches of vertical travel for precision bed shaping in uneven field conditions.

• Providing 9" of quick and consistent tooling depth control, the hand crank depth adjustment with high visibility depth indicators enable easy height adjustment settings across entire machine.

• The rugged 22" depth band coulter easily slices through surface and sub-surface residue to eliminate interference with the lister bottom while it simultaneously maintains precise depth control and provides lateral stability.

• Precisely shape your bed height, width and slope with adjustable, smooth-pulling rotary moldboards perfected by Orthman through decades of customer feedback. The shear bolt tail protects the lister unit from rocks and other unseen obstructions, to ensure long life.

• Greasing bearings is one maintenance task you won’t have on the 8385. Orthman’s heavy-duty sealed bearings allow you to conquer the toughest bedding conditions year after year.

• The 8385 can utilize multiple Orthman sweep styles, including the single piece sweep, western sweep and super sweep, with blade options to match your row spacing.

• If you need to move more dirt for furrow building, the fully width adjustable Orthman ridging wings are available for all sweep options.

The dual fertilizer tube option splits to each side of the row to precision place fertilizer close to the crop, while the shank mounted knife option can place the fertilizer deeper in the center of the row.
